Project overview.
1800 Spirits is an on-demand liquor delivery platform that connects users with local retailers. The existing platform was outdated, difficult to navigate, and lacked a strong brand identity. The redesign focused on improving user experience, streamlining checkout, and establishing a scalable design system.

Challenge
The current platform had several issues, including inconsistent branding, poor user experience, and complicated user flows. Key challenges included:
• Cluttered and unintuitive UI
• Inefficient checkout process leading to high cart abandonment rates
• A lack of visual appeal and branding, which failed to establish a strong market presence
• Inconsistent UI components due to the absence of a design system
Goals/ Solution
Design a user-friendly e-commerce platform with a smooth checkout process, a cohesive design system, and visually appealing pages.

• Streamline the checkout process to reduce friction
• Develop a scalable design system for consistency and future growth

I looked at other platforms in the liquor e-delivery space to identify trends and best practices such as Drizly, Minibar Delivery, and Saucy

Result.
To address the issues, I created a user-friendly e-commerce platform that enhanced the user experience and aligned with 1800 Spirits' brand identity. Key improvements included:The old shopping list only allowed adding ingredients in alphabetical order without quantities. The new version includes:
• Streamlined Checkout: Simplified the process by reducing steps, making it faster and reducing cart abandonment.
• Scalable Design System: Developed a design system with consistent typography, color schemes, and UI components to support future growth.
• Enhanced Product Discovery: Redesigned product pages for intuitive navigation, with clear filters, descriptions, and high-quality images to improve user engagement.
